Positions allocable to this class provide specialized consultative services on a per visit basis. LA Health Services is LA County’s integrated healthcare system and the second-largest public health system in the nation. Requirements

• Successfully fulfilled a residency accredited by an American Specialty Board in one or more specialties or received equivalent training.
• California State Physician and Surgeon's Certificate authorized by the Board of Medical Examiners of the State of California.
• A valid California Class C Driver License or the ability to utilize an alternative method of transportation when needed to carry out job-related essential functions.

Responsibilities

• Performs medical services in a specialized field.
• Provides specialized consultation to other physicians and related professional personnel.
• Conducts studies to obtain data, and analyzes data to advise on or recommend solution, utilizing knowledge of theory or principles of specific discipline or field of specialization.
