About The Position

ERM is seeking established and emerging executive leaders to join our global consulting firm as a Consulting Partner, Site Investigation and Remediation (SIR) based in Toronto or Ottawa. As a Partner, you will combine technical excellence, business leadership, and strategic client engagement to drive growth, mentor future leaders, and shape the future of Site Investigation and Remediation services across multiple industries. Environmental liabilities are a part of almost every organization's asset portfolio and balance sheet, creating regulatory, technical, and social complexities that can heighten risk and impact asset value. Throughout an asset's lifecycle, ERM helps clients manage these risks through strategic approaches, digital applications, and best-fit technical methods that identify, assess, and manage environmental liabilities. Through cross-functional strategic engagement, we work to transform environmental liabilities and legacy assets into risk-adjusted portfolios that support favorable outcomes, sustainability goals, and social acceptance. ERM's Site Investigation and Remediation (SIR) team helps clients through: Asset and portfolio management. Options analysis and exit strategy. Digital data collection, analysis, and portfolio dashboarding. Liability assessments. Asset retirement and/or redevelopment. Regulatory adaptation strategies. Litigation support. Portfolio risk management for emerging issues such as new contaminants, regulatory changes, and stakeholder concerns. With annual global sales exceeding $400 million, the SIR service area continues to be ERM's largest global service area within a business that has a history of annual double-digit growth. ERM's collaborative global model provides access to leading technical specialists, remediation technology experts, and innovative solutions including thermal remediation, abiotic reduction, and green and sustainable remediation technologies.

Requirements

  • BS in engineering, geology, science, or related discipline; or equivalent experience.
  • 15+ years' progressive remediation experience in a consulting environment, working substantially with industrial clients; preferably with strong experience in the mining sector along with experience and knowledge of the manufacturing, chemical, diversified energy, power, transportation, pharmaceutical and/or technology sectors.
  • In-depth understanding of contaminated land management challenges in the targeted geographies.
  • Demonstrable track record providing high-value service and technical solutions to Fortune 500 clients.
  • Business acumen to understand business risk and challenges and recognize corporate opportunities.
  • Demonstrable track record in delivering multimillion-dollar sales results annually, including successfully winning large and strategic projects.
  • Recognized technical expertise and an established reputation in the local marketplace.

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced degree in engineering, geology, science, or related discipline.
  • Certification such as P.Eng., P.Geo., or similar designation in your field.

  • Develop and strengthen executive-level client relationships across multiple industry sectors.
  • Deliver strategic value through the full spectrum of ERM's consulting services.
  • Grow market presence by identifying opportunities, securing strategic projects, and expanding client partnerships.
  • Build, mentor, and develop high-performing consulting teams.
  • Advance innovative remediation solutions and sustainable services.
  • Collaborate across ERM's global network to deliver integrated solutions and share technical best practices.
  • Help shape the future direction of ERM's SIR service area while contributing to the organization's long-term growth and success.
  • Lead client relationship development, business development, sales, and delivery of the full spectrum of ERM's consulting services to deliver strategic value to clients across multiple sectors.
  • Play a key role in leading and growing ERM's Site Investigation and Remediation (SIR) business across a broad portfolio of sustainable service offerings, including: Site investigation and remediation, including sustainable remediation; Human health and ecological risk assessments; Remediation portfolio and reserve assessments; Sediment management and remediation; Brownfields redevelopment; Decommissioning, Decontamination and Demolition (DDD); Remedial alternatives evaluations and pilot testing; Remediation engineering and construction management.
  • Build, grow, and manage a high-performance team while serving as a leader and mentor to consultants.
  • Identify emerging talent and help team members reach their full potential, ensuring future leaders are nurtured, developed, and given new areas of responsibility.
  • Meet business financial targets, project budgets, schedules, client expectations, and internal and contractual requirements.
  • Work within a collaborative, cross-functional environment to grow ERM's global business while leading client and technical teams.
  • Provide business value selling at the highest levels of client organizations and elevate awareness of ERM's capabilities within key accounts.
  • Maintain a pulse on industry business cycles and prioritize sales efforts toward high-potential opportunities.
  • Lead capture efforts by utilizing technical expertise to develop proposals, including written content, pricing strategies, presentations, and contracting.
  • Support the growth and development of ERM's global Site Investigation and Remediation service area.
  • Actively collaborate with colleagues across the globe and drive innovation within technical communities to stay ahead of client needs and differentiate ERM in the marketplace.
