About The Position

Black & Veatch's Infrastructure Advisory Business provides a portfolio of solutions focused on the asset lifecycle, including Asset Management & Operations & Maintenance, Infrastructure Technology, Cybersecurity Solutions, Planning and Transactions. In this role, you will be part of the Delivery Team supporting Solutions. You will be working with Infrastructure Advisory’s Strategic Asset Management Solution to deliver a wide range of projects and solutions, focusing primarily on asset investment planning, risk assessment, value model development and business case evaluation. Black & Veatch is seeking an exceptional professional to join our Infrastructure Advisory organization as a Manager to deliver strategic asset management projects for our clients, with a focus on asset investment planning for electric utilities. Infrastructure Advisory focuses on the lifecycle management of assets, and you will be joining a team of dedicated professionals who are aligned with Black & Veatch’s Purpose, Building a World of Difference. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with gas and electric utilities to develop asset investment plans, utilizing industry-leading tools and models to optimize capital investments through assessment of risks and benefits, and development of value models. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or relevant work experience
  • Typically 7+ years experience in a business/consulting environment.
  • Demonstrated experience in electric utility engineering, operations and maintenance.

Nice To Haves

  • Electrical Engineering Degree with Electric Distribution experience
  • Professional Engineer License
  • IAM Certificate in Asset Management
  • Consulting experience with electric utilities

Responsibilities

  • Perform and manage technical work for asset investment plan development, portfolio optimization and/or prioritization, risk analysis methodologies, benefit monetization methodologies, asset management plan development, asset management assessments (including ISO 55001) and development of Strategic Asset Management Plans, and asset management program development and implementation.
  • Serve as the project manager on asset investment plan projects, orchestrating tasks, coordinating resources, and managing schedule, budget, and quality requirements.
  • Provide asset management technical subject matter expertise on projects, apply asset management best practices and detailed knowledge of electric T&D assets and utility operation and maintenance, and recommend solutions to clients.
  • Use expertise to analyze and interpret quantitative and qualitative data to provide insights, identify trends, opportunities and risks, review alternatives, and develop solutions.
  • Lead client meetings and workshops, develop presentations, and communicate effectively with clients.
  • Support business development activities, and lead development of scopes, schedules, and budgets.
