About The Position

OVG helps Finance organizations create value with their unique Agentic Performance Management (APM) approach. In the early stages of the AI revolution, OVG aims to equip clients to thrive with AI-native processes, systems, and skillsets for performance management. OVG's APM solutions are built on open and interoperable Microsoft platforms (Fabric, Power Platform, M365, and Foundry), offering scalability, flexibility, cost-effectiveness, and cross-functionality compared to traditional CPM tools. The company has proven the viability and effectiveness of its APM approach with a majority of its client base. The team is purpose-built for the AI-driven world, consolidating roles and responsibilities. Currently a team of fifteen, OVG is pursuing steady, organic growth. The team instills a combination of business acumen and hands-on technical skills, creating a transferable and future-proof force-multiplying effect. This 'dual-threat' framework delivers superior results and sets clients up for long-term success. Team members are at the forefront of practical AI adoption for Finance teams, their business partners, and leaders. In the Lead role, individuals will receive foundational APM training and engage directly with clients across various industries and growth stages, from Series B/C startups to Fortune 500 enterprises. Approximately 70% of the time will be spent hands-on building solutions, and 30% engaging with the team and clients. Work will be in lean 2-3 person teams with support from leadership. The role involves leading or facilitating day-to-day client interactions, including weekly retrospectives and standups. Solution delivery includes Data Foundations using Microsoft Fabric (designing and building star-schema data warehouses, writing SQL stored procedures, building data pipelines and dataflows, connecting source systems), Financial Modeling in Excel/M365 (building 3-statement models, headcount and financial forecasting templates, financial outputs), BI & Reporting with Power BI (developing semantic models, designing dashboards), Automation with Power Platform (building low-code/no-code apps and workflows), and AI integration using tools like Anthropic, OpenAI, and Microsoft (leveraging AI for coding, research, analysis, documentation, and model-building). Some travel may be involved, not exceeding 20%. The team is majority US-based and operates remotely as a baseline.

Requirements

4–6 years of professional experience blending finance domain knowledge with hands-on technical delivery — ideally a combination of FP&A experience and direct involvement in building or configuring planning systems, data models, or financial reporting solutions
Hands-on building experience with at least one CPM platform (Anaplan, Pigment, Oracle EPM, Workday Adaptive, etc.) with established understanding of multi-dimensional forecasting engines and source system integrations.
Proficient in SQL — comfortable writing CTEs, window functions, and stored procedures, and capable of designing star-schema dimensional models independently.
Established Excel financial modeling skills, including experience building or maintaining 3-statement models, headcount forecasts, or budgets with a solid understanding of the underlying accounting and driver logic
Active, daily AI user — leveraging tools like Claude Code/Cowork, ChatGPT, or Cursor as part of a professional workflow for coding, analysis, research, or documentation.
Effective communicator, comfortable presenting to VP/CFO-level stakeholders and communicating complex subjects.
Bachelor’s Degree (business or finance degree a plus)

Responsibilities

Drive project delivery including: Scoping and requirements gathering, Process evaluation and design, Technology evaluation and architecture, Project management, Change management
Spend approximately 70% of time hands-on building solutions and 30% engaging with the team and clients
Work with lean 2-3 person teams with other core team members and support from leadership
Lead or facilitate day-to-day client interactions including weekly retrospectives and standups
Design and build star-schema data warehouses, write SQL stored procedures for data transformations and forecast calculations, build and orchestrate data pipelines and dataflows, and connect source systems (ERP, CRM, HRIS, Snowflake, etc.)
Build and maintain 3-statement models, headcount and financial forecasting templates, and financial outputs such as P&Ls, bridges, and BvAs.
Develop semantic models and design dashboards reports for Finance and executive stakeholders
Build low-code/no-code apps and workflows to streamline planning inputs, approvals, and data collection
Use AI tools daily as a core part of your workflow — coding assistants (Copilot, Claude, Cursor), conversational AI (ChatGPT, Claude Projects) for research, analysis, documentation, and model-building
