Consulting Internship: Software Engineering (Summer 2027)

About The Position

CapTech is seeking undergraduate Juniors passionate about technology and solving complex business and technical problems to join our 10-week internship program, Elevate. This program provides meaningful immersion into the full life cycle of a typical IT consulting project, simulating a client engagement. Interns will work in self-led teams, paired with full-time consultants for guidance and mentorship, and participate in weekly lunch-and-learns with the leadership team. The program takes place in person at our Richmond, Virginia Headquarters.

Requirements

Current undergraduates with expected graduation dates in December 2027 - May 2028 who will be seeking full-time work after graduation
Demonstrated an ability to be self-motivated contributors in a team environment
Project or internship experience utilizing development platforms and languages such as Java, .NET, C#, C++, Go, Android, iOS, JavaScript, React, Angular, Node.js, AWS, and Azure
Strong oral and written communication skills
All majors welcome to apply; Computer Science, BIT, Systems Engineering majors preferred but not required
Availability to work in-person 40 hours/week for 10 weeks in Richmond, VA from June 1 through August 6, 2027
Candidates must have the ability to work at CapTech’s Richmond, VA office.
Applicants must be authorized to work directly for any employer in the United States without visa sponsorship.
Must be able to work on-site in Richmond, VA.

Responsibilities

Designing and developing applications with leading front-end and back-end technologies in web, mobile, cloud, web services, and/or DevOps
Partnering with client stakeholders to build systems in new and innovative ways
Manage parallel development and code versioning with Git
