About The Position

Provide project management and technical maintenance support for large value O&M and Capital mining projects.

Requirements

• 10-12 years of related experience in mining or power industry or other environment that promotes development in the areas described by the essential duties, responsibilities, and necessary skills for this position.
• Maintenance experience in management, supervisory, or technical role.
• Bachelors degree in Engineering required.
• Strong leadership in the maintenance of Vistra owned and operated equipment.
• Knowledge of project management and project scheduling, Maximo, and Microsoft tools.
• Experience gained through college degree programs and/or certifications is applicable to above skills.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of reliability processes, and root cause analysis is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Provide project management and maintenance support for large value O&M and Capital mining projects - Develop scope, engineering, contracts, budget development, schedules, cost projections and execution.
• Provide maintenance support for dragline and shovel relocations at Kosse and Bremond to support the mine plan and fuel delivery to Oak Grove.
• Provide engineering and project engineering management for mining equipment improvements, upgrades, and outage management.
• Provide technical support for mechanical and structural engineering solutions needed for all draglines and coal handling facilities at Kosse and Bremond
• Provide maintenance support for development of projects and cost estimates for the LRP process.
• Facilitate idea generation and learning team to solve problems and support continuous improvement efforts.
• Assist with development of outage schedules and outage optimization plans for Dragline and Coal Facilities outages.
• Works collaboratively across boundaries of business units, service providers, alliance partners, suppliers, and industry groups in execution of responsibilities.
• Effectively interface with mine operations, support staff, procurement and other Vistra organizations to ensure consistent work practices and sharing of knowledge to optimize efforts.
• Builds a positive work environment to assure leadership, work force diversity, technical excellence, innovation, high productivity, safe work practices, and high morale.
• Implement and enforce safety policy and procedures to ensure a safe working environment and increase employee safety awareness.
• Ensure MSHA and safety compliance with equipment outages and projects.
