About The Position

Position: Consulting Data Engineer (Multiple Positions) Employer: HCA Management Services LP Worksite : One Park Plaza, Nashville, TN 37203 May work remotely 100% from a home office location anywhere in the U.S. Travel to Nashville, Tennessee is not required. DUTIES : Lead product development teams, providing guidance on software architecture and design decisions, creating project design documents, ensuring security elements are included in the applications, and mentoring; apply in-depth understanding of data warehouse, data analytics systems, and data management concepts like big data management, data virtualization, and other industry standards; write SQL queries; participate in the complete data analytics project life cycle (requirements gathering, architecture, design, implementation, and support); develop data analytics-based solutions on large-scale (200 Gigabytes to multi-terabytes) data; utilize leading tools, such as data streaming, and coordinate with vendors to ensure that data is populated timely and accurately; extract data from multiple sources including a data warehouse environment; collaborate with various product analysts and business users to understand data needs; work independently to design, develop, deploy, and support software systems; provide operational support of the existing extract, transform, load (“ETL”) process; implement and customize ETL Packages for the continuous improvement of uninterrupted operations; develop or improve current standards and procedures, maintaining code and version control through Microsoft Team Foundation Server and/or other such tools as needs arise to meet operational and strategic goals; apply a strong understanding of current agile development methodologies; and ensure the team is adhering to standards and good development practice. REQUIREMENTS : Bachelor's degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science or a related field; five (5) years experience with SQL and ETL; experience with complete data analytics project life cycle; experience designing, developing, deploying, and supporting software systems; strong understanding of current agile development methodologies; experience implementing and customizing ETL Packages. May work remotely 100% from a home office location anywhere in the U.S. Travel to Nashville, Tennessee is not required.
