Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Civil, Environmental, Geotechnical, or related engineering field, or equivalent experience.
  • 0–2 years of experience.
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office Suite.
  • Ability to research and prepare technical memorandums, field reports, and report sections.
  • Detail-oriented with strong communication skills for effective collaboration.
  • Driver's License Required: This position requires a valid driver's license and/or the ability to operate a company vehicle due to the nature of job duties, which include frequent travel to various client locations across a large geographical area.
  • This position is not eligible for immigration sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

  • Engineer in Training (EIT) certification or current registration for the F.E. exam.
  • Experience with AutoCAD/Civil3D, GIS Software, and/or Hydraflow/HydroCAD.
  • Prior internship or professional experience in civil/environmental engineering.
  • Willingness to travel for field work.

Responsibilities

  • Support civil and environmental engineering projects that influence energy, infrastructure, and industrial sectors.
  • Contribute to site/civil design, stormwater engineering, remediation, erosion control, and water management initiatives.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams—planners, scientists, and engineers—to deliver innovative solutions locally and globally.
  • Work remotely/hybrid while maintaining clear communication on schedules, deliverables, and tasks.
  • Assist in civil/environmental design and support for projects including: Site plans Erosion and sediment control plans Stormwater management plans Permit application preparation
  • Participate in field work, sampling, construction monitoring, and reporting.
  • Manage multiple fast-paced projects across diverse geographies.
  • Ensure compliance with ERM’s world-class Health and Safety Program.
