About The Position

ENTRUST Solutions Group is seeking a Consulting Engineer I, where you will launch your career building real-world skills supporting power plant consulting projects from day one. You’ll partner with experienced engineers and managers to deliver meaningful project work, join client technical discussions, and grow your confidence through coaching and hands-on learning. Along the way, you’ll strengthen your project planning and documentation skills, track progress toward schedules and billable targets, and learn when to raise scope or timeline risks so the team can succeed together. The Consulting Engineer I acts as a company engineering resource for power plant consulting projects. This position works with management and engineering staff to continuously develop their technical skillset and execute on project work.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical or mechanical engineering from ABET accredited university.
  • Must have a valid driver's license without restrictions. This position involves 10% travel which includes driving to local project sites.
  • Demonstrated ability in engineering calculations and analysis
  • Critical thinker with proven ability to execute on multiple projects at once and on schedule – either working independently or in a team environment
  • Accurate and weekly time keeping
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • Good level of client feedback on project execution
  • Travel as required to support projects

Responsibilities

  • Company engineering resource for power plant generator consulting projects
  • Aggressively seek out development opportunities in areas relevant to Entrust’s engineering offerings
  • Act on project objectives/plan discussed on an approximately weekly basis during a management meeting, with intermediate meetings as necessary, to ensure schedule and billable hour targets are met
  • Reports project scope or schedule concerns to management
  • Seeks out advanced staff members for project assistance and coaching
  • Attends and participates in relevant technical discussions in client meetings
  • Maintains accurate records of completed project work and ensures it is uploaded in an organized fashion to appropriate internal file share location
  • Ensures timely and complete follow up on revisions and/or additional client requests
