About The Position

Cogstate is seeking a Consulting Clinician, specifically a Pediatric Clinical Rater, to join their Clinician Network. This role involves remotely administering clinical interviews and cognitive assessment batteries to subjects with preclinical dementia, enrolled in pharmaceutical clinical trials. The position is contract-based, fully remote, and operates on an as-needed basis according to the clinician's schedule. Cogstate provides comprehensive, paid training on their operational policies, study-specific procedures, clinical interviewing skills, and virtual cognitive assessment. Ongoing supervision and skill recalibration will also be provided. The role requires experience with VINELAND/VABS administration and English fluency.

Requirements

• MA/MS in Psychology or equivalent
• ≥25 administrations of study scales or similar semi-structured clinical interviews
• Experience working with pediatric populations with neurodevelopmental delays
• Vineland/VABS administration experience
• Formal training in clinical interviewing and cognitive assessment, including experience working with pediatric populations and caregivers
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience with direct clinical interviewing and psychological assessment in clinical research industry, academic or clinical settings
• Direct experience with cognitive/behavioral/functional assessment of neurological/psychiatric populations
• Ability to meet deadlines, being highly organized and methodical, with attention to detail to ensure delivery
• Proficiency with MS Office, including Word and Excel, email, teleconference platforms such as Skype, Zoom or other similar applications, and cloud-based storage service.
• English Fluency Required
• VINELAND/VABS Administration Experience Required

Nice To Haves

• Rare disease experience is a plus, including Angelman syndrome, Phelan-McDermid syndrome, Fragile X syndrome, or similar disorders

Responsibilities

• Remotely administering semi-structured clinical interview assessments and cognitive battery of tests to study subjects and caregivers.
• Remotely delivering computerized and traditional cognitive assessments via a tele-health platform.
• Scoring completed scale administrations.
• Participating in regular clinical skill recalibration activities.
• Providing reviews of completed neuropsychological test batteries for central monitoring of data to ensure accuracy in administration and scoring and contribute to the overall success of a clinical trial.
• Reviewing response forms and recordings of remote scale administrations and offering feedback to raters via email and telephone communications.
