Requirements

  • BS of Electrical or Electronics or Controls Engineering or equivalent in related discipline or advanced degree.
  • 5+ years of combined experience in Engineering, Technical Project Management , direct exposure to marketing and sales activities related to Electrical & Automation systems
  • Organizational, negotiation, communication and presentation skills required.
  • USA and International travel. Domestic travel estimated at 25%, International <5%.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work closely with people at all levels of the organization and facilitate the implementation of corrective action and best-practice sharing

Responsibilities

  • Marketing and sales support activities for Drives, Motors and Automation systems related to metals industry.
  • Work closely with electrical, automation and mechanical sales team to market E&A solutions and address opportunities in the market.
  • Support account managers in terms of customer visits, E&A solutions and concepts preparation, customer presentations, proposal and bid documents preparation and contract negotiations.
  • Lead the proposal preparation efforts internally to ensure timely and accurate response to customer’s inquiries. This includes; electrical concept design, technical specifications preparation, equipment layout and selection, proposal strategies with internal groups and suppliers e.g. operations, procurement, etc.
  • Maintain involvement with key customers to understand their needs and also develop new customers by building trust and rapport together with the sales team.
  • Support the E&A segment in portfolio idea generation by providing input from the market and trend information.
  • Work closely with the service organization to ensure that all sales opportunities arising out of the field activities are understood; addressed and considered in shaping the sales strategies / portfolio enhancements.
  • Represent the company and network with client leadership at industry associations, professional or community organizations to enhance business image and success.
  • Collaborate with other business units to provide comprehensive solutions to our customers.
