About The Position

Charles River Associates (CRA) is a global consulting firm providing economic, financial, and business management expertise. The Forensic Services practice supports clients in responding to allegations of fraud, waste, abuse, misconduct, and non-compliance by deploying cross-trained teams of forensic professionals. This position is for a Consulting Associate within the Cyber Incident Response & eDiscovery team, supporting high-profile cyber incident response matters, data breach investigations, and complex eDiscovery engagements. The role involves identifying and analyzing impacted information, transforming complex datasets into actionable insights using CRA's eDiscovery technology suite to process, organize, analyze, and report on large volumes of data for regulatory, legal, and investigative objectives. The role offers significant opportunities for professional development through formal training, mentorship, and exposure to complex client engagements.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience in eDiscovery, cyber incident response, digital forensics, data privacy, investigations, or a related field.
  • Experience administering Relativity workspaces and utilizing core review, analytics, and reporting features; certifications are a plus.
  • Experience managing document production workflows and executing quality control procedures.
  • Experience processing data using tools such as Nuix, Relativity, or similar platforms.
  • Experience conducting search term analysis and related reporting methodologies.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to work effectively with large and complex datasets.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data reporting.
  • Demonstrated ability to work on multiples projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally, as required (minimal travel expected).

Nice To Haves

  • Awareness of privacy regulations, data protection concepts is a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Support and lead workstreams related to cyber incident response and data breach investigations involving sensitive data.
  • Process, organize, and analyze large datasets using industry-standard eDiscovery and forensic technologies.
  • Conduct data analysis and data mining to identify personally identifiable information (PII), protected health information (PHI), and other sensitive data types.
  • Manage and administer review databases, including data loading, workspace configuration, user management, and reporting.
  • Conduct quality control procedures to ensure the accuracy of deliverables.
  • Prepare client-facing updates and reports.
  • Serve as a day-to-day resource for senior consultants by providing support throughout engagements.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional project teams to manage competing priorities and meet critical deadlines.
  • Contribute to corporate initiatives as needed, such as recruiting, training, business development support, etc.
