About The Position

The Consultative Pharmacy Technician is a certified Pharmacy Technician who serves as the initial point of contact for calls from patients, pharmacies, and providers. You will handle a variety of moderately complex administrative, operational, and customer support responsibilities, including performing calculations, and typically works on semi-routine assignments. You will report to the Market President. The Consultative Pharmacy Technician addresses questions related to specific assigned area and assists with medication research. Triages calls that require consultation with a pharmacist. Make outbound calls to patients to offer medication therapy management programs and schedules medication review sessions with consultative pharmacists. Decisions are typically focus on interpretation of area/department policy and methods for completing assignments. You will work within established guidelines to meet performance expectations and quality standards, while having some flexibility to prioritize tasks and manage timelines independently under minimal supervision. Standard policies and practices are followed, with limited opportunity for independent judgment and interpretation as needed.

Requirements

  • Active Pharmacy Technician license
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Pharmacy Technician
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to navigate multiple computer applications at once, with accurate and efficient data entry skills
  • A positive, proactive mindset and a strong commitment to delivering excellent customer service
  • Passionate about contributing to an organization focused on improving consumer experiences

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in a physician practice, medical clinic, or provider office setting
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish
