We are recruiting for a mission-driven Consultation-Liaison Psychiatrist to join our team! Denver Health's Behavioral Health Services (BHS) is a large and rapidly expanding department providing psychiatric care across various settings. As a non-profit committed to community needs and health equity, Denver Health offers psychiatrists a practice full of meaning and purpose. All physicians have an academic appointment at the University of Colorado School of Medicine, making it an excellent place for those interested in clinical education. This role involves providing psychiatric care as part of a multidisciplinary consultation-liaison (C-L) psychiatry team throughout Denver Health Hospital, including general medical floors, intensive care units, surgical step-down units, labor & delivery/mom-baby/ob-gyn services, pediatrics, and the correctional care medical facility. The psychiatrist will diagnose and treat complex and co-occurring medical, psychiatric, and substance use disorders, providing expert assessment and evidence-based, trauma-informed clinical care. Teaching and supervision of learners and trainees, including psychiatry residents, psychology interns, APPs, and medical students, are key components. Opportunities for involvement in quality improvement projects, data monitoring, and scholarly work are available. Administrative support functions and assistance with dispositional planning may be required, and temporary coverage of other inpatient psychiatry services may be requested.
