About The Position

As a Consultant in Putnam’s Medical & Scientific Affairs Practice, you will help lead and manage a team of Associate and Life Sciences Consultants across projects in the practice’s areas. Working with Managers and Partners, you will interact with clients to understand their problems, develop and refine hypotheses, structure complex strategic and analytical questions, and lead the team’s day-to-day work. You will synthesize analyses into findings and actionable recommendations, present recommendations to clients, and coach junior staff in project execution and management. Putnam uses a team-based, client-focused approach. Its projects commonly combine quantitative analysis with qualitative research and synthesis to inform strategic decisions. Casework includes portfolio prioritization, development pathways and resource optimization, market assessment, pricing and launch strategies, market-segment growth, sales and marketing strategies, franchise development, and patent-expiration strategies. The position is based in a hybrid working model, with opportunities in Boston or New York City. Much work takes place in the offices, and client interaction requires a reasonable level of travel to client sites.
