About The Position

Aon is hiring a Consultant-level Pension Systems Requirements Analyst to join our Pension Administration Solutions team. In this role, you will work closely with Product Owners, developers, testers, operations teams and clients to define, document, and help deliver technology solutions for our administration platforms (including workflow applications and member web portals). This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced professional who wants to focus on ambitious implementation projects rather than day‑to‑day operations. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, math, engineering or equivalent work experience in a systems/business analysis or similarly analytical area
  • 5+ years of demonstrated experience as a business analyst, systems analyst, or product analyst on technology projects (ideally in financial services, insurance or pensions).
  • Experience documenting functional and non‑functional requirements for system application such as workflow/case management applications and/or customer self‑service web platforms.
  • Solid experience with system implementation or upgrade projects (requirements, specifications, test support, managing updates).
  • Ability to model processes and data flows using standard tools/methods (e.g., process maps, user stories/use cases, data dictionaries, interface specifications).
  • Solid grasp of SDLC and collaboration with development and QA teams (e.g., agile or hybrid methodologies).
  • French / English bilingualism is required due to the frequent interactions with clients, colleagues, or partners based in Quebec, other Canadian provinces and/or internationally.

Responsibilities

  • Identifies, defines and reviews client requirements, including numbered examples, for integration into Aon’s exclusive administration solutions
  • Documents end to end functional requirements and user journeys for: Applications designed for handling case and workflow processes, Member self service web portals and digital communications, Data interfaces, calculations, and reporting
  • Conducts a gap analysis between client requirements and available solutions and proposes system and process options that balance configurable functionality, reuse and maintainability.
  • Leads or facilitates requirements workshops involving both external customers and company teams, including process mapping and solution walkthroughs.
  • Understands administrative procedures and processes, challenges them where appropriate, and collaborates alongside clients and internal collaborators to translate them into efficient, scalable system behaviour.
  • Develops and updates applicable requirements documents, including plan provisions (SPP), data, web self-service functionality, workflow functionality, personal communication for members (PCS) and reports.
  • Works closely with developers, system architects and quality assurance teams to clarify requirements, support solution design and ensure feasibility of proposed changes.
  • Reviews the testing strategy to ensure all requirements are covered and the test plan is carefully detailed.
  • Ensures proactive follow-up of requirements documentation, and manages client and internal expectations until final approval, in consideration of the project plan.
