About The Position

Dell Technologies is seeking an experienced Project Manager to serve as the bridge between what is sold and what is realized for customers. The role orchestrates end-to-end deployments, including large-scale GPU and network rack installations, at customer data centers. It ensures solutions are delivered on time, on budget, and in alignment with contracted outcomes. The position combines hands-on delivery oversight with strategic customer advisory, using predictive risk insights and an AI-forward mindset to deliver measurable customer value. The Project Manager acts as a trusted value orchestrator, shaping customer confidence, proactively mitigating risk, and identifying lifecycle value and expansion opportunities. The work ranges from managing daily workflows and shift-level task sequencing to resolving onsite challenges, ensuring that promised outcomes become the customer's deployment experience.

Requirements

  • 10–12 years of experience in project or program management within technology services, IT infrastructure deployment, or data center operations.
  • Proven track record of delivering complex, customer-facing deployment projects.
  • Exceptional communication, coordination, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to operate as a credible onsite lead and advisor to technical teams, vendors, contractors, customer executives, and internal leadership.
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent deployment workstreams while balancing scope, schedule, cost, and quality.
  • Willingness and ability to travel frequently to customer data center sites across the US, including extended onsite rotational periods as project demands require.
  • Ability to apply formal problem-solving and issue-resolution methodologies.
  • Flexibility to support varying schedules and deployment phases, and comfort working in dynamic, high-pressure environments where onsite decision-making is critical.

Nice To Haves

  • Hands-on familiarity with structured cabling in data center environments, including connectivity topologies, common remediation processes, and customer handover steps.
  • Enthusiasm for AI, automation, and emerging technologies.
  • Experience with AI data center networking technologies and high-performance fabrics such as InfiniBand, NVIDIA NVLink, and 400G/800G Ethernet.
  • Strong technical acumen for engaging effectively with architects, engineers, vendors, and deployment teams; technical design or implementation expertise is not required.

Responsibilities

  • Travel regularly to customer data center sites to lead deployment activities, including GPU, cabling, network, and large-scale compute rack installations.
  • Coordinate cross-functional stakeholders and maintain hands-on visibility into daily workflows, shift activities, and site readiness.
  • Serve as the customer's trusted advisor and primary onsite point of contact for deployment status, risk escalation, and issue resolution across logistics, installation, and construction readiness.
  • Translate contracted scope into realized outcomes.
  • Use predictive risk insights to identify early warning signals, including schedule slippage, resource gaps, vendor delays, and site-readiness blockers, and intervene proactively.
  • Drive lifecycle value and expansion opportunities by maintaining a consultative perspective throughout engagements and surfacing additional Dell Technologies solutions that may advance customer objectives.
  • Provide clear daily and shift-level reporting to program leadership.
  • Use emerging technologies and AI-driven tools to improve delivery methodologies, reporting accuracy, and stakeholder coordination across complex, multi-workstream data center deployments.
  • Manage daily task tracking, issue troubleshooting, and transparent reporting while balancing scope, schedule, cost, and quality across concurrent deployment workstreams.
  • Apply formal problem-solving and issue-resolution methodologies to maintain project momentum, including during real-time troubleshooting and escalations.
