We redesign the scientific user experience to help clients better capture, manage, integrate, and analyze complex scientific data, thereby improving research, development, and manufacturing, enhancing quality, ensuring compliance, reducing time to market, and boosting operational efficiency. Team members typically focus on one project at a time, often as part of a larger core team. As a Forward Deployed Scientific Engineer, you will utilize AI tools to develop and scale solutions for laboratory scientists, conduct stakeholder interviews, analyze business requirements, develop project documentation, support GxP compliance, manage scientific data, provide end-user training, and offer insights on laboratory informatics solutions. You will also oversee and implement digital solutions such as Agentic Lab Capabilities, LIMS, ELN, CDS, SDMS, IoT, and cloud.

Requirements

  • 3+ Years of experience working in the field of scientific and laboratory informatics, within R&D and/or QC Manufacturing spaces.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a Laboratory Science / Life Science (e.g., Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Biology, Microbiology) or Computer Science or Engineering (e.g., Chemical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering).
  • Candidates must be willing to travel up to 50% to client locations.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize AI tools to effectively elicit, demonstrate, develop, and scale solutions that meet the needs of laboratory scientists across the value chain.
  • Conduct stakeholder interviews and working sessions to gather insights and clarify needs.
  • Analyze and translate business requirements into functional and technical specifications for development and configuration of custom and off-the-shelf solutions.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including requirement specifications, use cases, and design documents.
  • Support the design and implementation of solutions that comply with regulatory standards in GxP environments.
  • Support the accurate and timely design, creation, and migration of scientific master data and transactional data.
  • Provide training and ongoing support to end-users on new systems and processes.
  • Prepare SDLC documents (Process Maps, Workflows, Specs, Test Scripts, etc.).
  • Provide point-of-view on laboratory and scientific informatics solutions to deliver on transformational goals along with strengths and weaknesses of various technology solutions.
  • Help clients better capture, handle, integrate and analyze complex scientific data.
  • Oversee, design, and implement digital solutions such as Agentic Lab Capabilities, Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS), Electronic Laboratory Notebooks (ELN), Chromatography Data Systems (CDS), Scientific Data Management Systems (SDMS), Internet of Things (IoT), and cloud.
