About The Position

Panterra is hiring a Consultant to support quantitative and qualitative project delivery for corporate clients. This is a U.S.-based position (remote), with the applicant needing to live or relocate to one of the following metro areas: Bay Area, NYC, Washington DC, Seattle, or Portland metro areas. A Research Consultant will help plan and execute complex research projects globally, manage vendors, support analysis and data driven storytelling, and engage clients. The position requires strong attention to detail and organization, and effective communication. Initially, this role will support a high cadence brand tracking study in 10 countries. This role has potential to grow into additional clients and topic areas. The ideal candidate comes with 1-2 years of experience in a client-services role within the public opinion research industry or closely related field. The ideal candidate would have experience with brand tracking studies. Candidates with experience in R or DisplayR are preferred.

Requirements

  • 0-2 years in the public opinion research field, or transitioning from a different industry.
  • Organization: Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to hit deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work on multiple competing timelines.
  • Must be comfortable operating in a remote setting, collaborating virtually while remaining engaged with colleagues.
  • Communication: Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team or independently.
  • Strong interpersonal skills including comfort supporting team members and senior leaders.
  • Technical skills and interests: Interest or experience in technology and artificial intelligence, political campaigns, public policy, public opinion research, or market research.
  • Undergraduate degree.
  • Understanding of basic quantitative research methodologies, and/or familiarity with polling/surveys.
  • Proficiency with MS Office.
  • Proficiency with Google Slides required.
  • Willingness to travel for client meetings and project fieldwork.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working on long-term brand trackers is preferred.
  • Understanding of basic statistics (e.g., Confidence Levels, Margin of Error, p-values) preferred.
  • Proficiency with DisplayR preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage the fielding of domestic and international quantitative and qualitative research projects.
  • Oversee vendors and helping with programming, testing, and proofing research materials.
  • Create research schedules, manage timelines, and vendors.
  • Assist in drafting surveys, qualitative question guides, and screening questionnaires.
  • Manage research vendors and project timelines.
  • Prepare and proofread client-facing deliverables.
  • Assist in analysis of quantitative research findings.
  • Build client deliverables and reports in Google Slides and PowerPoint.
  • Track project budgets.
  • Contribute to strong, supportive, and positive team culture.
