About The Position

As a member of CIBC’s team, the Consultant, Process and Change Management is responsible for supporting the delivery of advanced consulting advice in process improvement, change management, and operational effectiveness. The role includes planning, scheduling, and facilitating training for transition and parallel processing phases, as well as creating job aids to support these activities. You will develop daily training plans, facilitate sessions with SME support, and provide ongoing support to the operations team. Post-implementation, you will offer support to teams after processes have been implemented and transition procedures to CIBC Knowledge Central standards. The role involves detailed procedure updates and the creation of job aids for critical processes, along with administrative tasks to track activities and address emerging issues. You will work autonomously on day-to-day responsibilities, researching industry best practices, tools, and systems for process improvement, and recommending enhancements to ensure standardized and efficient operations. Independent judgement is required to determine methods and approaches, and you will act as a resource integrator for your area. Please note this is a 18 month secondment opportunity. Requirements

  • Experience with Process improvement, change management, and facilitating training sessions.
  • Degree in a relevant field (i.e. business, operations, management, engineering, or equivalent experience).
  • Exceptional critical thinking, problem solving, and decision making skills with demonstrated ability to independently identify and analyze operational problems and recommend solutions.
  • Knowledge in organizational procedures and standards, and understanding the integration and interdependencies of various processes across a line of business.
  • Excellent verbal and writing skills to effectively articulate ideas and opinions involving analysis, processes, and technology solutions to others with different disciplinary backgrounds.
  • Legally eligible to work at the location(s) specified and, where applicable, must have a valid work or study permit.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in creating job aids, updating procedures, and supporting operational teams during transitions is an asset.
  • Advanced degree is an asset.
