About The Position

IQVIA is investing across the board to expand our Concept to Market capabilities to our MedTech clients, including our offerings in Strategy Consulting. IQVIA’s portfolio of offerings and deep subject matter expertise position our organization as healthcare’s vital partner. Within the US marketplace, IQVIA maintains relationships with all of the top 20 MedTech clients, among many others. Consultants play an important role in the MedTech US Strategy Consulting team. This particular team provides advisory services to companies in the medical device and diagnostics industries. Our work includes evaluating the commercial potential of new product concepts, conducting due diligence for M&A opportunities, and developing go-to-market strategies for innovative medical devices. Consultants run self-directed workstreams within project teams. These workstreams can include market research, market modeling, data analysis, preparing client presentation, and supporting the development of client recommendations.

Requirements

  • MBA, PhD, or a relevant life sciences master’s degree (e.g., Biomedical Engineering)
  • MBA or PhD: No prior industry experience required; medical device experience is a plus.
  • Relevant life sciences master’s degree: 2+ years of experience within the medical device industry.
  • Bachelor’s degree: 4+ years of experience in medical device marketing, strategy, corporate development, consulting, or a related field.
  • Prior experience or demonstrated interest in the medical device industry.
  • Strong capabilities in critical thinking, presentation/communication skills, clinical literature, data analysis, and modeling.
  • Adaptability and an ability to learn quickly and apply new knowledge.
  • A willingness and ability to travel up to 25%.
  • Excellent communication skills in English (both written and oral).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite.

Responsibilities

  • Conducts primary and secondary market research and analyzes research to identify key findings and learnings for our clients.
  • Performs quantitative or qualitative analysis to assist in the identification of client issues and the development of client deliverables.
  • Supports collaborative critical thinking and brainstorming of the strategic consulting elements of the work.
  • Creates sections of reports, presentations, workshops and other client deliverables, under general guidance from the project manager and leaders.
  • Works independently or as part of a team, with some training and development of more junior project team members.
  • Develops broad knowledge of related consulting methodologies and medical device market expertise through the delivery of consulting engagements and participation in formal and informal learning opportunities.
