About The Position

We have an opening for a Consultant, Life Sciences & Healthcare Consulting Group. The Consultant, Life Sciences & Healthcare Consulting Group will provide a wide range of high-quality services to pharmaceutical and medical device companies to help ensure client compliance with legal and regulatory requirements as well as corporate policies and procedures. As an example, the Consultant will collaborate with our professionals to design, build, implement, and operate effective compliance risk management programs, including the organizational constructs and resource models that support those programs across the enterprise.

Requirements

Solid working knowledge of the U.S. healthcare system and how healthcare organizations are structured and operate
Foundational knowledge associated with US and global regulatory agencies (e.g., HHS OIG, DOJ, FDA, etc.) and their respective guidelines, policies, standards, practices, requirements, and precedents (e.g., Anti-Kickback Statute, False Claims Act, HIPAA, Corporate Integrity Agreements, etc.)
Excellent written and oral communication skills, and a strong grasp on the principles and execution of graphics-and-text-based communications/storytelling
Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite
Time management and project management skills required to work across multiple client and internal initiatives
Bachelor’s Degree/Major in Healthcare, Business, Finance, Accounting, Engineering, English, or related course of study

Nice To Haves

Passion for being part of and helping to grow a consulting practice on a high-energy, highly collaborative team of driven, dedicated professionals
JD, MBA, MPH or other post-graduate degree
At least 1-2 years of experience working in a consulting/professional services environment and/or in a operations or compliance role at a life sciences or healthcare organization
Proficiency in project management, preparing written analyses, reports, and presentations, analyzing and interpreting healthcare transactional data, and data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau)
Previous consulting experience in one or more of the following areas as it pertains to compliance programs and risk management in healthcare or life sciences: data privacy; internal and external investigations; litigation support services (including data analytics); risk assessments; monitoring and auditing; billing / revenue cycle operations and compliance; and/or healthcare provider operations

Responsibilities

Develop strategies to solve complex challenges
Partner with our professionals to transform ideas into visualizations that communicate the output of various Firm assessments and analyses
Create and deliver quality client deliverables (with emphasis in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel) and related work product in a timely manner
Keep up to date with local and national issues, updates, and trends that impact our clients
Support business development efforts and other efforts to expand the market presence of the Consulting Group and the broader Paul Hastings Life Sciences & Healthcare team
Support and learn about key aspects of the Consulting Group's practice development and other internal operations (including account planning, marketing, recruiting, training, and performance management)
