About The Position

Plaster & Wald Consulting Corp is seeking an Interventions Technologist with a strong background in data analytics, business intelligence, and reporting. This role will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining data models and reporting structures to support interventions analytics. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with SQL, Power BI, and Wellview, and will be able to translate business requirements into robust analytical solutions. This position will also involve leading the redesign of legacy systems and applying AI-enabled tools to enhance data exploration and insight development. The role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively across distributed teams. The position is based in Houston or Denver and follows a hybrid schedule.

Requirements

7+ years of experience in Data & Analytics, Business Intelligence, or Reporting roles.
Strong experience in Wellview
Strong SQL expertise, including complex query development and performance optimization.
Hands-on experience with Power BI
Experience in data modeling, analysis, testing, development, and deployment.
Experience supporting large-scale data environments with batch and/or near-real-time data.
Oil & gas industry experience strongly preferred; upstream experience preferred.
Experience leveraging AI-enabled tools (e.g., Claude) to support analytics and decision-making.
Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail.

Responsibilities

Design, build, and maintain scalable data models and reporting structures supporting interventions analytics.
Develop and maintain complex T‑SQL queries, stored procedures, and scripts to support dashboards, reports, and ad hoc analysis.
Own the development, enhancement, and modernization of Power BI, SQL reporting, and embedded visualization outputs (e.g., D3, HighCharts).
Partner with business and data-domain owners to translate requirements into robust analytical solutions.
Establish and evolve business metrics and KPIs to support operational decision-making.
Deliver timely ad hoc analyses and visualizations to support interventions leadership.
Lead the redesign and conversion of legacy reports and databases into modern, maintainable solutions.
Apply AI-enabled tools (e.g., Claude) to enhance data exploration, diagnostics, and insight development.
Collaborate closely with the Data & Analytics team to support enterprise reporting and analytics initiatives.
Be the SME for Wellview to help support the intervention team.
