You’ll be joining CIBC’s Capital Markets team, specifically within the Alternate Solutions Group (ASG). As a Consultant, Infrastructure Management, you’ll play a vital role in supporting and maintaining the test environment infrastructure for ASG, helping us deliver touchless banking services to digitally savvy, value-conscious clients. You’ll work with a team of experienced professionals, expanding your technical expertise and contributing to the bank’s agile and modular approach to strategy and technology. Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience managing test environments.

Responsibilities

  • Managing the lifecycle of issues and incidents using Jira.
  • Resolving technical challenges through troubleshooting bridges.
  • Recommending infrastructure solutions that align with established standards.
  • Creating and supporting test environment deployments using ServiceNow.
  • Coordinating business-as-usual activities like operating system and application upgrades.
  • Overseeing migrations from on-premises to cloud.
  • Managing certificate renewals for internal and client-facing applications.
  • Leading other professionals and technicians.
  • Anticipating longer-term business needs.
  • Devising new methods and procedures through strong analytical thinking.
  • Collecting incident details, conducting first assessments, and coordinating troubleshooting calls based on application flow.
  • Engaging internal and external support, communicating updates, and driving timely recovery of the test environment.
  • Providing root cause analyses and managing retrospective actions.
  • Initiating timely certificate renewals for internal and client-integrated systems, maintaining organizational certificate guidelines, and assisting with onboarding new certificates.
  • Maintaining up-to-date records of environment configurations, dependencies, and changes.
  • Managing environment booking, maintaining and improving booking tools, and monitoring environment updates.
  • Assisting in environment preparation for projects and ensuring health checks through monitoring and alerts.
  • Creating change requests for deployments, data management, and infrastructure-related application changes in non-production environments.
  • Communicating clearly and promptly with stakeholders, collaborating with project managers, developers, QA teams, application operations, and clients.
  • Providing regular notifications on test environment activities and updates.
