About The Position

As an HR Solutions Consultant, you will be a key member of the Global Shared Services team supporting North America. In this role, you will partner with the global HR team, our specialist teams, and business leaders to drive the people component of Capital’s business strategy, particularly focusing on medical accommodations requests under ADA (US) and AODA (Canada), Leave of Absence (LOA) administration, resolving questions/issues across several general HR and Benefits domains. You will participate in and/or lead projects aimed at expanding centralization or continuous process improvement, leverage technology to improve the associate experience, and discover actionable insights and recommend solutions. This role does require you to work in office Monday-Thursday with the flexibility to work from home on Friday.

  • Minimum of 5 years HR experience preferred.
  • Case management experience, preferably managing medical/religious accommodations and/or LOA cases.

Responsibilities

  • Independently oversee a case load of complex medical/religious accommodations and LOA cases for Canada and the US: identifying and prioritizing situations requiring action and managing those cases from start to finish.
  • Proactively educate leaders regarding accommodation/leave laws and benefit programs.
  • Resolve complex issues and apply knowledge of benefits plans and summary plan descriptions to everyday situations.
  • Serve as the point of contact for accommodations/LOA cases, general benefits, and other HR questions.
  • Interpret various HR policies and procedures, offering customized guidance to associates and managers tailored to specific circumstances.
  • Connect the dots in complex and often ambiguous situations, deriving insights that are critical to advancing organizational goals.
  • Flex between project work, ongoing responsibilities, and in-the-moment priorities.
  • Lead impactful and successful projects and process improvement efforts that create measurable value.
  • Conduct trend analysis with large sets of information, interpret data, identify key points, and translate information into actionable insights and ideas for practicable solutions.
