About The Position

Join Ramboll's global Environmental Due Diligence Practice as an Environmental Compliance Consultant. In this hybrid-based role in New Orleans, LA, you will work closely with Project Managers and other Consultants on compliance-related projects, including general site solutions, due diligence investigations, natural resource assessments, and environmental regulatory evaluations. There may also be opportunities to contribute to environmental investigation/remediation, health and safety, and sustainability initiatives within the Environment and Health practice. Requirements

  • Minimum B.S. degree in a relevant engineering discipline (civil, environmental, chemical) or B.S./B.A. in a relevant science discipline (environmental science, geology, chemistry, physics, or biology).
  • 2+ years of experience in the performance of Phase I ESAs and environmental compliance reviews for various types of industrial facilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform Phase I ESAs and limited environmental compliance reviews of complex industrial sites.
  • Ability to travel on short business trips (typically 1-2 days, local or throughout the USA).
  • Driver’s license and air travel required.
  • Accustomed to working in a fast-paced transactional environment.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to distill complex EHS or other technical issues into terms clients can understand.
  • Highly motivated self-starter, flexible, and willing to learn, grow, and actively contribute to the project team.
  • Currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced degree desirable.
  • Additional experience in the investigation and remediation of contaminated sites is helpful.
  • Experience with emerging contaminants, health and safety, and ESG is helpful.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare plans, reports, permit applications, and other project documents.
  • Support technical evaluations of data commensurate with experience.
  • Natural resource impact assessment and permitting.
  • Due diligence investigations (Phase I and Phase II Environmental Assessments).
  • Conducting sampling events (stormwater, wastewater, soil, groundwater) in various site settings.
  • Occasional travel as required.
