About The Position

This role is within Prescient's Competitive Strategy Practice, which delivers biopharmaceutical intelligence to top biopharma organizations globally. The practice focuses on anticipating and responding to competitive risks across the product lifecycle, from early pipeline through post-launch. The Consultant will work with global healthcare and pharmaceutical clients to help them unlock the full potential of their brands and portfolios. This is a role within a fast-growing, PE-backed business where motivated individuals can make an impact. The Consultant will apply their therapeutic, clinical, and commercial understanding to support client asset and portfolio development and commercialization strategies. They will help generate insight-led recommendations to enable leaders at top biopharma companies to make confident, well-informed business decisions. The role requires strong analytical, communication, and project management skills, working closely with Senior Consultants, Engagement Managers, and Directors. The Consultant will take ownership of defined workstreams, contribute to shaping the narrative, structuring analysis, and ensuring the clarity and robustness of outputs. An entrepreneurial, growth-oriented mindset is expected. Over time, the Consultant will develop a client-facing presence and become a credible strategic partner. A solid understanding of the evolving US biopharmaceutical landscape and key market trends is necessary, with an eagerness to deepen this knowledge.

Requirements

  • Relevant experience within biopharmaceutical consulting, competitive intelligence, healthcare strategy, or a related client-services environment; CI experience is preferred.
  • Therapeutic area experience in CVRM, immunology, or infectious diseases, gained through consulting, competitive intelligence, industry, or academic work.
  • Strong results orientation, demonstrated by consistently producing high-quality deliverables and contributing effectively to project outcomes.
  • Building effective working relationships with clients and project teams through clear communication and reliable delivery.
  • Solid foundational knowledge of the biopharmaceutical industry, especially clinical development.
  • Clear and confident communication skills, enabling effective interaction with clients and internal teams, and the ability to contribute meaningfully to strategic discussions with guidance from senior colleagues.
  • Strong learning agility to adapt to rapid change and new situations.
  • Ability to communicate complex ideas in simple terms.
  • Ability to give and receive feedback.
  • BA/BS required; an advanced life science degree is preferred.

Nice To Haves

  • Therapeutic area expertise in cardiovascular, renal and metabolic (CVRM) diseases, immunology or infectious diseases.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the design and execution of projects that address clients’ strategic business questions, ensuring analyses, deliverables, and insights meet high standards of quality and client satisfaction.
  • Support account teams by spotting opportunities to add value through project delivery, building strong working relationships with day-to-day client contacts, and helping strengthen Prescient’s presence within existing accounts.
  • Support proposal development through background research and input into scoping discussions.
  • Own discrete workstreams and support day-to-day project activities, including research, evidence collection, data analysis, synthesis of insights, and preparation of client presentations and reports, with direct client interaction where appropriate.
  • Participate in client meetings, present findings from workstreams where appropriate, and collaborate with project leadership to ensure clients experience best-in-class service.
  • Apply and deepen expertise in therapeutic, clinical, and commercial areas relevant to client engagements; share emerging insights with the team, and support Analysts in understanding key scientific and commercial concepts with a particular focus on CVRM, immunology, or infectious diseases.
  • Attend relevant conferences where appropriate to gather insights, engage with experts, and support the team in capturing and synthesizing key learnings from presentations, posters, and booths.
  • Contribute to a positive team environment by supporting Analysts and Senior Analysts, offering guidance on research and analytical approaches, and helping maintain a high standard of structured, impactful insights.
