About The Position

This role ensures that we deliver those outcomes prioritized in the RS Portfolio through driving complex initiatives, connecting business strategy to execution, and partnering across business, operations, technology, and readiness teams to deliver meaningful change for our customers and partners. You will identify and develop business process mapping and recommend and implement policies and procedures for new and existing business processes. You'll support the business administration functions for your assigned area. This position is not required to work out of the Columbus office and is available to our remote associates should they possess the appropriate experience. This is a G2 band role.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate studies in business, mathematics or related field.
  • Six years of work experience in project management.
  • Strong knowledge of project management concepts and techniques.
  • Working knowledge of business terminology, systems and data processing policies, practices and procedures.
  • Strong relationship building skills.
  • Outstanding project management skills.
  • Strong negotiation and problem solving skills.
  • Proven decision making skills for problem identification and selection of alternatives.
  • Effective interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to prepare technical reports and formal presentations.
  • Comfortable working in ambiguity and can turn unclear, changing, or incomplete information into practical next steps, decisions, and action plans.
  • Strong business savvy, retirement plans knowledge, and the ability to connect project/product work to broader business outcomes.
  • Outcome focused and comfortable using metrics to define success, measure progress, surface issues early and drive critical decisions to resolution.
  • Can effectively communicate and align the communications to the needs of their audience.
  • Can lead business readiness work, including impact assessment, partner coordination, adoption planning, and launch support.
  • Has a continuous improvement mindset and looks for practical ways to strengthen processes, tools, and team effectiveness.
  • Shows learning agility, interest in continued upskilling, and the ability to thrive in a busy, engaging environment while contributing to a strong team culture.

Nice To Haves

  • Project Management Certification preferred.
  • Business process mapping experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of business-related systems concepts and requirements preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates and prioritizes all aspects of projects, including: planning, communication, execution and completion.
  • Develops and controls timelines, including regularly re-assessing risks, throughout project life.
  • Revises project plans on an ongoing basis to maintain alignment with other projects and the business strategy.
  • Coordinates business/systems unit resources to log issues, designs processes and implements solutions.
  • Maintains awareness of customer and systems requirements and conforms to those requirements.
  • Responsible for internal and external resource management, budgeting and cost containment.
  • Provides mentorship and feedback to project team members.
  • Recommends and implements policies and procedures for new business processes and manages these processes upon completion of the project.
  • Communicates process changes to impacted business units.
  • May perform other responsibilities as assigned.
