We’re looking for a Consultant to join our Built Environment Solutions (BES) team. In this role, you’ll use your technical background and hands-on experience to support a variety of projects for property owners, developers, and contractors across commercial, residential, and industrial sectors. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys a mix of fieldwork, technical problem-solving, and working closely with project teams and clients.

Requirements

  • Strong written communication skills, especially for report writing
  • Ability to communicate effectively with a range of stakeholders and clients
  • Solid judgment, critical thinking, and the ability to work independently
  • General understanding of construction principles and processes
  • Bachelor’s degree in architecture, engineering, building science, or a related field
  • 3–6 years of experience in building design, assessment, or construction
  • Experience with construction documents, project administration, and/or project management

Nice To Haves

  • EIT or PE designation is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Partner with project teams to support the design, assessment, and construction of building projects
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external consultants to help manage projects, including budgets and client relationships
  • Conduct site assessments, including work on rooftops, ladders, lifts, scaffolds, and in mechanical/electrical spaces
  • Provide technical expertise across architecture, engineering, construction, or related disciplines
  • Support projects involving building assessments, upgrades, maintenance, restoration, and new construction
  • Research and interpret building codes and standards (both current and historical)
  • Review product submittments, samples, mock-ups, testing reports, and technical documentation
