About The Position
HCT seeks an experienced Medical Billing Technician to support the revenue cycle operations of a healthcare organization. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Process, submit, review, and rebill insurance claims while ensuring accurate CPT/HCPCS coding and compliance with CMS, payer, and organizational guidelines. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve billing issues, support compliance, and maintain efficient revenue cycle operations. Communicate with patients, families, and insurance carriers regarding billing inquiries, claim status, and payment resolution.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience in medical billing, claims processing, or revenue cycle operations within a healthcare setting.
- Experience with third-party payer billing and claim corrections preferred.
- Experience with electronic health records (EHR), billing systems, and Microsoft Office applications.
Nice To Haves
- Additional training in medical billing, coding, or health information preferred.
- CPC, CCS, or other medical coding certification preferred.
