The Operations, Transformation and Automation team at CIBC is focused on building and supporting instrumentation, analytics, automation, reporting, and capacity management capabilities. The team aims to streamline processes through simplification and automation to improve operations and better serve partners and clients. The Consultant, Automation & Analytics is responsible for developing solutions using self-serve tools like Power Apps, Power Automate, VBA, Alteryx, Azure DevOps, and Tableau to solve business problems. This role involves assisting in resolving routine and non-routine operational issues by investigating, analyzing, and providing independent opinions or recommendations on compliance, policy changes, operational controls, risk assessment, and control activities. The Consultant provides technical leadership in developing precise steps and processing logic across platforms to ensure business needs are met. The role also offers comprehensive senior-level technical consulting to senior management and technical teams, advising on existing and emerging infrastructure technologies, translating user requirements into process and data requirements, and developing impactful business solutions. The successful candidate needs a strong understanding of business analytics and an automation mindset, and must be flexible, adaptable, and able to think creatively in a fast-paced environment with changing requirements. The role allows for remote work with occasional on-site presence (1-2 days per month), subject to business needs.
