About The Position

The Operations, Transformation and Automation team is responsible for building and supporting instrumentation, analytics, automation, reporting, and capacity management capabilities. The team is committed to streamlining processes through simplification and automation to improve operations and better serve partners and clients. The Consultant, Automation & Analytics develops solutions using self-serve tools such as Power Apps, Power Automate, VBA, Alteryx, Azure DevOps, and Tableau to address business problems. This role assists in resolving routine and non-routine operational problems by investigating, analyzing, and providing recommendations on compliance issues, policy changes, operational controls, risk assessment, and control activities. The Consultant provides technical leadership to develop precise steps and processing logic across all platforms, ensuring designed specifications meet business needs. The role also provides comprehensive senior-level technical consulting to other senior management and technical teams, translating user requirements into process and data requirements, and developing solutions with far-reaching impact. The role involves making technology selection decisions in situations where business requirements may not be completely defined. A strong understanding of business analytics and an automation mindset are essential. The candidate must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with changing requirements, demonstrating flexibility, adaptability, and the ability to think of outside-the-box solutions.

Requirements

3-5+ years experience in designing, developing, implementing and supporting applications.
Expertise in most of the following: No/Low Code Tools (VBA, Alteryx, Power Automate, Power App), Analytics Software (Tableau, Power BI), Databases (SAS, Oracle, SQL Server), Cloud (Azure, AWS), ETL (Informatica, SSIS), and Tools (source control/issue management: Git, TFS, JIRA, Azure DevOps, Selenium).
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science or Technical discipline.
Legally eligible to work at the specified location(s) and, where applicable, must have a valid work or study permit.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing requirements.
Flexibility, adaptability and ability to think of outside-the-box solutions.

Nice To Haves

MBA or Master degree with specialization on Advanced Analytics, ML or AI is considered a plus.
PMP and Lean 6 Sigma certification are good to have.

Responsibilities

Developing solutions leveraging self-serve tools such as Power Apps, Power Automate, VBA, Alteryx, Azure DevOps & Tableau to address business problems.
Assisting in the resolution of routine and non-routine operational problems or issues by investigating, analyzing and providing an informed and independent opinion or recommendation on compliance issues, changes to policies, adequacy of operational controls, risk assessment, and control activities.
Providing technical leadership to develop precise steps and processing logic across all platforms, ensuring the designed specifications achieve business needs.
Providing comprehensive senior level technical consulting to other senior management and senior technical teams.
Providing consultation for senior management on a wide spectrum of existing and emerging infrastructure technologies, translating user requirements to process and data requirements and developing solutions for the business with far-reaching impact.
Making technology selection decisions that are often made in situations where business requirements are not completely defined.
Performing and coordinating complex solution design activities.
Understanding business requirements and translating them into system and application design aligned with the technology roadmap.
Designing and documenting technical functionality, infrastructure, interfaces, and integrations.
Leading the design of cost-effective and innovative solutions to meet business objectives and operational efficiency goals.
Contributing to technology roadmaps aligned with the bank’s vision, strategy, and business objectives.
Leading multiple complex technology solutions while maintaining consistency across the platform, adopting best practices and pushing forward continuous improvements.
Acting as the solution lead and interface with project teams by driving and moderating design review sessions to walk stakeholders through and ensure the overall design aligns with business requirements as well as architectural directions.
Supporting and mentoring junior designers and developers through knowledge sharing, collaboration and effective problem solving.
