Join our Environment & Health Division as our new Air Quality Consultant and work with us to close the gap to a sustainable future. As our new Consultant, you will be part of the Northwest Air & Climate Team, which is part of Ramboll’s Environment & Health Division. This group consists of people who are passionate about air quality and assisting Ramboll’s clients with their most challenging problems. The Air Quality Planning Group consults with clients across various government agencies and industries on a range of topics, including but not limited to air pollutant emissions, air dispersion and chemistry.

Requirements

  • B.S. in Environmental Engineering, Atmospheric or Environmental Science, or a closely related field with a GPA of 3.5 or higher and 2+ years of experience, or an M.S. in the same fields with a GPA of 3.5 or higher.
  • Experience in air quality or related areas such as atmospheric chemistry, meteorology, emission processes, or satellite and remote sensing.
  • Experience with or exposure to air quality models (box, dispersion, trajectory, or chemical transport models)
  • Experience with graphics software and strong programming skills (Python, R, MATLAB, IDL, FORTRAN or other structured languages [C, C++])
  • Strong written/verbal communication, problem-solving and organization skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work in small and large team environments collaboratively

Nice To Haves

  • Air quality coursework is a plus for both degrees.
  • Exposure to predictive AI, machine learning, data science and analytics is a plus, but not required

Responsibilities

  • Conducting emissions, meteorological, and air quality modeling/analysis studies using models that address a range of scales and complexity
  • Performing statistical and geospatial analyses of emissions, meteorological, and air quality data
  • Analyzing and reporting modeling results and other datasets to achieve project goals
  • Contributing your technical skills on complex projects to provide creative solutions to our clients in a collaborative environment.
