Consult Liaison Psychiatrist
About The Position
ChristianaCare is seeking a Full-Time clinical psychiatrist to join their Consultation-Liaison team within the Behavioral Health Service Line. This role involves providing psychiatric consultation services to patients in inpatient medical and surgical units, as well as the emergency room. The position requires close collaboration and integrative care with medical teams and includes teaching responsibilities for psychiatric residents and multidisciplinary trainees. The role may involve coverage at both the Newark and Wilmington campuses. Christiana Hospital is a 906-bed hospital in Newark, DE, and Wilmington Hospital is a 321-bed hospital in Wilmington, DE.
Requirements
- BE/BC in Psychiatry
- BE/BC and fellowship trained in Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry preferred
- Eligible for license in Delaware
Responsibilities
- Provide psychiatric consultation services for patients admitted to inpatient medical and surgical units and the emergency room.
- Collaborate closely and provide integrative care with medical teams.
- Teach psychiatric residents and multidisciplinary trainees.
- Participate in the development of our psychiatric residents, medical students, psychologists, advanced practice providers, and social workers.
- Participate in the further development and growth of the residency program and other academic and research-related opportunities within the Behavioral Health Service Line.
- Participate in quality improvement projects, committees, and department initiatives based upon your interests.
