About The Position
Helicon, Florida’s Premier Foundation Repair Company, is based in Tampa, Florida, and has operated since 2004. The company provides property restoration services, emphasizing personalized planning, communication, problem-solving, quality work, and client service. The Foundation Repair Technician supports commercial and residential foundation repair, soil stabilization, and concrete lifting and leveling projects. The position involves general construction work and collaboration with the project team. Career advancement opportunities are available. The schedule varies and requires flexibility, with occasional weekends and holidays and regular overtime. Local day travel is required, and occasional week-long projects out of town are compensated with a company stipend. Work may take place around moving mechanical parts and outdoors in various weather conditions, with moderate to loud noise.
Requirements
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- At least one year of experience in construction general labor and/or outdoor work for long hours.
- Reliable transportation, a valid Florida driver’s license, and a clean driving record.
- Ability to be coached and mentored and to collaborate within a team environment.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to hear operating equipment, alarms, traffic, and telephones.
- Ability to see clearly at 20 inches/50 centimeters or less and at 20 feet/6 meters or more.

Responsibilities
- Perform general construction work using hand tools and lift materials as directed by the site supervisor; work may include crawlspace work, outside drilling, pile drilling, machinery operation, or concrete work.
- Understand project schedules, take on additional responsibilities, and work overtime as needed to meet project deadlines.
- Work cohesively with team members to exceed client expectations and maintain a positive work environment.
- Maintain equipment daily to ensure it functions properly and safely.
- Align work with Helicon’s culture and strategic goals: Stay True, Communicate Clearly, Forecast Needs + Outperform.
- Work with the team on mutually agreed-upon key performance indicators (KPIs).
