As a key member of the Project Execution Team, the Construction Tool Equipment Install Engineer is an individual contributor reporting to the Tool Install Manager. A key to this role will be close engagement with customers, stakeholders and partners as well as leadership of the site project execution team. This is an onsite position at the campus in Hillsboro Oregon. This role will require supporting teams to solve semiconductor tool install constraints, work with internal and external stakeholders to drive project schedules, resolve install issues both locally for affected systems and holistically for program level improvements. It will require regular on-site engagement with stakeholders as well as virtually working with others across sites.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Architecture or other related technical field with 4+ years of experience in project or program management in large scale construction or factory tool install/qualification ramp experience.
  • Master’s Degree in the same field with 2+ years of experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in the installation and demolition of process tool equipment.
  • Experience specifically in EPI, Diffusion, Anneal, Implant, Spatial/ALD install or deinstall

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Internal and external stakeholders to ensure equipment procurement is aligned with the install schedule requirements.
  • Work across both local (Oregon) and VF site teams to support factory growth and product timelines.
  • Align all stakeholders to enable execution to planned Tool Install Milestones / activities. Lead meetings for Planning and Coordination across multiple suppliers, trade contractors and other project stakeholders.
  • Maintain awareness of any commercial issues / risks / capacity with to enable early course correction / resolution. Drive root cause resolution and field fix implementation; ensure learnings are proliferated and systems are improved to prevent future recurrence.
  • Translate business and technical requirements into high-quality project plans that enable accurate and cost-effective delivery of scope.
  • Ensure scope is carried out in a manner that meets Intel safety and quality expectations.
  • Act as primary owner from pre-design through system start up’s, driving troubleshooting and problem resolution in order to mitigate delays on assigned projects.
  • Manage discussions with executive management, drilling down to details and managing efforts hands-on if the need arises.
  • Champion the safety culture of caring onsite throughout execution of assigned scope.
  • Drive decision making, integrating with business partners and influencing in a highly matrix environment.
  • Ability to identify improvements, develop concepts, problem solving.
  • Strong ownership, initiative, and commitment to continuous learning and professional growth.
  • Skills to drive decision making and change at the cadence Moore's law required.
