We are currently recruiting a Construction Technician to join our team in Atlantic Canada. This role offers flexibility in home base location between New Brunswick or Nova Scotia. In this hands-on position, you will support construction, installation, and maintenance activities at commercial and retail fueling facilities while working closely with project teams across the region.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required, along with a minimum of three years of experience in construction-related projects.
  • Candidates must possess a valid Class 5 driver’s license with a clean driving record and be willing to travel, work on-call, and perform overtime as required.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills are essential, as is the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented, and deadline-driven environment.
  • The ideal candidate can follow direction, work independently, maintain a strong focus on safety, and demonstrate proficiency with construction tools and equipment.
  • Physical fitness is required to perform demanding work, including extended shifts and safely lifting and carrying up to 60 lbs.

Nice To Haves

  • A licensed tank installer certification is considered an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Support the installation and removal of aboveground and underground tanks and product piping systems across Atlantic Canada.
  • Perform site improvements at commercial and retail fueling facilities, including concrete repairs, tank pad upgrades such as replacing manholes, grade rings, and spill containers, fueling apron repairs and installations, and pump island maintenance.
  • Install, service, and repair petroleum handling equipment.
  • Safely operate construction tools and equipment, including quick-cut saws, jackhammers with air compressors, and towing trailers, while adhering to road safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with Project Managers and Construction Leads to plan and execute site repairs and upgrades efficiently.
  • Ensure all work complies with regulatory standards and certification requirements for petroleum and allied petroleum storage tanks.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and demonstrate a proactive attitude toward learning and professional skill development.
