About The Position

Our team of Construction Technicians work within the Mills Property Home Services department to complete a variety of projects for not only our properties, but also residential home owners and commercial businesses. They specialize in a wide variety of projects. No two days are the same with new tasks and challenges presented daily and, as a result, the opportunity to learn and grow in many areas. To excel in this position, you must be an outstanding problem-solver with exceptional communication and organizational skills with a background in construction, maintenance, carpentry or finishing work. As a Construction Technician you will be responsible to complete a variety of construction and repair projects as a member of the Home Services Team. Construction Technician performs construction, carpentry, and maintenance duties as directed from the Maintenance Foreman. This person will also be a front-line representative of the company. Construction Technician must have adequate verbal and written skills. Construction Technician will complete and follow-up on a wide variety of tasks and items as may be assigned/or necessary to fulfill job duties and will work cooperatively and comply with all company standards, policy and procedures, and will be conducted professionally, consistently and safely.

Requirements

Minimum of 2-3 years of Construction, Maintenance, Carpentry or Finishing experience required.
Must be able to lift 50 pounds, climb stairs and ladders.
Adequate verbal and written skills.

Responsibilities

Complete a variety of construction and repair projects as a member of the Home Services Team.
Perform construction, carpentry, and maintenance duties as directed from the Maintenance Foreman.
Respond to work order project requests.
Remodel, Repair, and build in residential and commercial settings.
Operate and maintain company vehicle and equipment.
Greet and communicate with the public professionally.
