About The Position

Verdantas is seeking a Construction Technician III in Concord, California. The role supports erosion control, stormwater management, and environmental compliance on construction and recovery projects through hands-on fieldwork, equipment operation, testing, and inspection. The technician performs advanced field and laboratory tests, evaluates compliance with specifications and safety standards, and documents and communicates findings. The position also supports project planning, quality programs, and junior staff while following safety procedures.

Requirements

Five to seven years of direct work experience.
Ability to lift 50 pounds and perform physical labor outdoors.
Valid driver's license with a clean record.
Reliable transportation from home to the yard.
Strong work ethic and punctuality.
Willingness to travel and work flexible hours.

Nice To Haves

Experience with barbed wire fencing, hydroseeding, and irrigation.
Prior experience in construction, environmental services, or stormwater compliance.
Familiarity with a walk-behind trencher and various hand tools.

Responsibilities

Conduct advanced field and laboratory tests on construction materials, structures, and systems.
Perform inspections and assessments to ensure compliance with specifications and safety standards.
Collect, analyze, and interpret data from tests and inspections.
Prepare technical reports and document findings.
Operate and maintain field and laboratory equipment.
Assist with developing and implementing project plans and protocols.
Provide technical support and guidance to junior staff.
Participate in quality control and quality assurance programs.
Communicate findings and recommendations to the Project Manager or Supervisor.
Follow safety guidelines and procedures.
Implement and maintain Best Management Practices for erosion control, stormwater management, and environmental compliance.
