About The Position

The Construction Team Lead plays an integral part in helping us create a community by building new single-family homes. The Construction Team Lead leads groups of 5-10 people in all aspects of hands-on construction tasks, including, but not limited to, site prep, framing, siding, windows, drywall, painting, flooring, finish carpentry, and final closing preparations. The Construction Team Lead instructs groups of skilled and unskilled volunteers in construction activities while maintaining a safe, efficient work environment.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience on-site carpentry and construction of residential single
• Experience leading and training crews of skilled and unskilled workers
• Reading and interpreting blueprints and construction drawings
• Experience utilizing technology such as Google products
• Valid Wisconsin Driver License and good driving record
• Proven ability to manage a construction schedule with multiple deadlines
• Knowledge of OSHA safety standards
• Strong communication, planning and organizational skills
• Able to respond to critical situations calmly and effectively
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds, perform heavy manual tasks, and capable of performing outside duties under all weather conditions.
