About The Position

This role involves managing construction surveying projects, requiring direct communication with various stakeholders like contractors, subcontractors, engineers, architects, and site superintendents. The position demands the ability to interpret complex plans, perform stakeout computations, and manage field staff effectively. Quality control, file management, cost estimation, and the preparation of as-built drawings are also key responsibilities.

Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years’ survey experience
• At least 1 year experience as a Construction Surveying Project Manager
• Proven track record of successful survey project management
• Valid driver's license and good driving record

Nice To Haves

• Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or Carlson surveying platforms.
• Familiarity with Trimble hardware and software.
• Excellent communication skills (verbal & written).
• Proficiency in MS WORD & EXCEL.

Responsibilities

• Communicate directly with contractors, subcontractors, engineers, architects, and site superintendents on construction layout projects.
• Interpret and perform stakeout computations using site development plans, structural design plans, and architectural plans for field layout.
• Perform post-stakeout computations (e.g., grading cut sheets, stakeout delta reports) and compile stakeout sketches.
• Schedule and coordinate field staff on multiple construction layout projects.
• Ensure proper field and office quality control and quality assurance procedures are followed.
• Maintain an orderly file management system for digital files, drawings, and reports.
• Perform quantity/item takeoffs for cost estimates and proposals.
• Develop cost estimates and prepare technical reports and proposals for construction surveying projects.
• Prepare and/or review as-built drawings.
