The Construction Surveillance Technician's primary function is to provide day-to-day security in support of Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF) & Special Access Program (SAP) construction efforts. This role involves assessing, identifying, and communicating recommendations for improvements to policies, procedures, or systems, as well as identifying threats, vulnerabilities, and potential risks. The technician will draft security incident reports and brief various government and civilian agencies, including military senior leaders. Key responsibilities also include managing uniformed escort personnel, assigning and training site security duties, ensuring timely reporting of security incidents, and enforcing customer Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). Additionally, the technician will conduct inspections of materials delivered for secure spaces, and continuously photograph and monitor construction to document all steps for final accreditation packets.
