About The Position

GDIT is seeking a Construction Surveillance Technician (CST) II to provide day-to-day security in support of Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF) & Special Access Program (SAP) construction efforts. This role involves ensuring compliance with security policies, identifying risks, drafting security reports, managing escort personnel, and overseeing the construction of secure spaces. The CST II will also conduct inspections of materials, photograph and document construction progress, and provide leadership and mentoring to team members.

Requirements

  • 3+ years related experience.
  • SAP experience required.
  • TS/SCI Security Clearance.
  • Willingness to sit for a CI polygraph.
  • Complete additional safety training and/or certification as required by local site (i.e., OSHA 10 Construction Safety, OSHA Fall Protection and OSHA Confined Space) within the first 30 days of hire.
  • Must obtain CDSE STEPP ICD 705 Physical Security Construction Requirements for SAP course completion within the first 30 days of hire.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledgeable on ICD 705 (SCIF compliance with uniform IC physical and technical security requirements) desired.
  • Bachelor’s degree is desired and counts towards 4 years of experience.
  • Associates degree counts towards 2 years of experience.
  • Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC) counts towards 3 years of experience.
  • Special Program Security Certification (SPSC) counts towards 5 years of experience.
  • Complete the DoD SAPCO approved SAPNP training.

Responsibilities

  • Assesses, identifies and communicates recommendations for improvements of policies, procedures, or systems.
  • Identifies threats, vulnerabilities, and potential risks.
  • Drafts security incident reports and briefs government and civilian agencies including military senior leaders.
  • Manages uniformed escort personnel and associated logs; assigns, trains, briefs site security duties and ensures timely reporting of security incidents to site lead.
  • Follow and enforce customers’ Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
  • Perform miscellaneous administrative support functions as directed by the contractor site lead and/or the Senior Security Representative.
  • Conduct inspections of materials being delivered for utilization in construction of secure spaces.
  • Photograph and continuously monitor the construction of secure spaces and document all steps in order to support final accreditation packets.
  • Provide leadership, mentoring, and oversight of team members.
