About The Position

Global Resource Solutions, Inc. (GRS) is seeking an enthusiastic, motivated, detail-oriented, and talented individual for the position of Construction Surveillance Technician I. The Construction Surveillance Technician I’s primary function is to provide “day-to-day” support for Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF) and Special Access Program Facility (SAP) construction efforts.

Requirements

  • One (1) to Two (2) years related experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related area or equivalent (4 years) experience
  • Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC) counts towards 3 years of experience.
  • Special Program Security Certification (SPSC) counts towards 5 years of experience.
  • Maximum equivalent experience for SPED Certifications is no more than 5 years.
  • Current Top Secret Clearance with SCI Eligibility
  • Eligibility for access to Special Access Programs
  • Willingness to submit to a Counterintelligence Polygraph
  • Knowledgeable on Intelligence Community Directive (ICD) 705 (on SCIFs and compliance with uniform IC physical and technical security requirements)
  • Must be familiar with security policy/manuals and the appropriate DCIDs/JAFANs and other guiding policy documents
  • Must have the ability to work in a dynamic environment and effectively interact with numerous DOD, military/civilian personnel and industry partners
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
  • Possess a high degree of originality, creativity, initiative requiring minimal supervision
  • Excellent customer service via phone and face to face conversation, excellent written and oral command of English.

Responsibilities

  • Assesses, identifies and communicates recommendations for improvements of policies, procedures, or systems.
  • Identifies threats, vulnerabilities, and potential risks.
  • Drafts security incident reports and briefs government and civilian agencies including military senior leaders.
  • Manages uniformed escort personnel and associated logs; assigns trains, briefs site security duties and ensures timely reporting of security incidents to site lead.
  • Follow and enforce customers’ Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
  • Perform miscellaneous administrative support functions as directed by the contractor site lead and/or the Senior Security Representative.
  • Shall conduct inspections of materials being delivered for utilization in construction of security spaces.
  • Will photograph and continuously monitor the construction of secure spaces and document all steps in order to support final accreditation packets.
  • Provide leadership, mentoring, and oversight of team members.
