About The Position

The Construction Support Specialist will support various construction projects directly from the on-site field trailer. This role serves as the central hub for the field crew, bridging the gap between the job site and corporate office. Day-to-day responsibilities may include general administrative tasks, onboarding assistance, answering & troubleshooting basic payroll/HR questions/issues, safety PPE distribution, and answering general IT questions.

Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
  • 3+ years of administrative experience, with at least 1 year in construction preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Strong time management, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with field crews and corporate managers.
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English)
  • Comfortable working in a construction environment (field trailer, dust, noise, fluctuating outdoor temperatures)
  • Must have reliable transportation to the workplace.
  • Ability to pass drug screening.
  • Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and in the future.

Responsibilities

  • Assist new hires on-site with filling out standard onboarding, I-9 paperwork, and pre-employment drug screens.
  • Manage owner and general contractor site access requirements – badging, background checks, and security clearance.
  • Assist with employee requests to update personal information when requested (changes in address, direct deposit setup, tax withholdings, etc.).
  • Notify corporate HR when new hires or terminations are scheduled.
  • Act as the liaison between field workers and corporate HR for policy/benefit questions.
  • Serve as first-line support for jobsite hardware and software (tablets, printers, laptops, timekeeping devices, phones, and network and connectivity issues).
  • Support setup and return of equipment for new and departing employees.
  • Coordinate with corporate IT to resolve larger hardware or network problems in the trailer.
  • Distribute personal protective equipment (PPE) inventory.
  • Coordinate with corporate safety to maintain jobsite certification and training records.
  • Support Talent team and staffing partners with recruiting logistics.
  • Support meeting logistics, craft housing needs, jobsite events, and any other needs for an out-of-town project setting.
  • Maintain job-site office equipment, supplies and ensure a clean, functional work environment.
  • Support PE/PM/Superintendent on miscellaneous projects.
