About The Position

Brown Federal Services is seeking an experienced Construction Supervisor I/II to support operations at the PORTS Site in Piketon, Ohio. This is a full-time, on-site position responsible for providing construction leadership, field coordination, and technical support within a complex environmental restoration environment. The Construction Supervisor will help plan, schedule, coordinate, and oversee construction activities while ensuring work is performed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with applicable contract requirements, quality standards, procedures, and budgetary guidelines. The successful candidate will provide leadership and direction to construction personnel while working closely with project management, engineering, construction support disciplines, client representatives, and other project stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 8 years of related experience (for Construction Supervisor I).
  • Minimum of 10 years of related experience (for Construction Supervisor II).
  • Demonstrated experience supporting or supervising construction and field activities.
  • Strong leadership and personnel management capabilities.
  • Ability to independently evaluate problems, make decisions, and coordinate solutions.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and coordinate with construction personnel, engineering, project management, senior management, clients, and other stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of construction principles, practices, methods, and procedures.
  • Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety and compliance with established safety requirements.
  • Ability to work in an active environmental restoration and industrial setting.
  • Ability to wear required personal protective equipment and, when required, respiratory protection.
  • Ability to work in varying environmental conditions, including outdoor conditions, temperature extremes, high-noise areas, confined spaces, and areas involving potential radiological or chemical hazards.
  • Must be capable of meeting the physical requirements associated with the position, including prolonged walking and standing and other field-related activities.
  • Radiological or other site-specific training may be required based on assigned work.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, schedule, organize, and coordinate construction and field activities.
  • Provide leadership, direction, training, and oversight to construction personnel.
  • Coordinate staffing and resources to effectively execute assigned scopes of work.
  • Ensure construction activities comply with applicable safety requirements, quality standards, contract requirements, and established procedures.
  • Coordinate with project management, engineering, construction support disciplines, client representatives, and other stakeholders.
  • Provide technical and functional support to construction teams.
  • Identify, evaluate, and resolve field and construction-related issues.
  • Assist with the development, review, and implementation of construction plans, policies, procedures, and programs.
  • Support quality assurance and training activities associated with construction operations.
  • Provide input and support related to project planning, execution, and budgetary responsibilities as assigned.
  • Promote positive employee relations and maintain effective communication across project teams.
  • Maintain a strong working knowledge of applicable construction methods, technical principles, and safe work practices.
  • Ensure supervised personnel comply with established safety policies and procedures.
  • Participate in safety initiatives and work groups as required.
  • Perform other construction-related duties and special projects as assigned.
