About The Position

The Construction Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the crew. Planning, construction, and scheduling will be the main focuses. Knowledge of concrete, equipment, PVC piping, earthwork site grading, and use of layout equipment is helpful but not all is required.

Requirements

• Minimum five years’ experience in job site supervision.
• Willing to work over-time or long hours during emergency conditions and/or when requested. Schedules can change frequently and with short notice.
• Capable of following Company safety rules and policies.
• Must have extensive knowledge of construction standard practices, techniques, quality requirements, applicable codes and standards.
• Ability to administer coaching, mentoring, and performance management.
• Ability to develop and interpret a material list, bid packages, scope documents, schedules, and budgets required in work performance.
• Knowledge of various types of construction contracts.
• Ability to interface with contractors, designers, vendors, and other parties connected with the various project(s).

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of concrete, equipment, PVC piping, earthwork site grading, use of layout equipment helpful but not all is required.
• Computer skills in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the coordination of a single construction project.
• Able to read and understand blueprints and specifications.
• Able to give morning toolbox talks and abide by all company safety rules.
• Assist in planning budgets and scheduling of construction task.
• Oversee construction crew consisting of 5 to 25 crew members.
• Work close with clients and vendors to schedule and order material for the project.
• Able to use layout equipment such as laser for elevation and a theodolite transit.
• Perform employee evaluations.
• Interview, hire, and terminate employees.
