About The Position

Fred Olivieri Construction Company is currently seeking a Construction Superintendent to manage the construction of Retail/Restaurant projects throughout Central Ohio. The qualified candidate will manage all aspects of on-site construction activities for ground-up retail / restaurant projects. This role involves liaising with developers and client representatives, government officials, architects/engineers, and subcontractors. The superintendent will be responsible for understanding and enforcing company safety requirements, developing and maintaining the project schedule, monitoring construction for compliance with plans and specifications, ensuring quality standards are exceeded, and determining and communicating workforce requirements to subcontractors. Project reporting from startup through closeout using Procore Construction Management Software is also a key responsibility, as is establishing and maintaining a positive working environment.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven leadership ability with high professional and ethical standards
  • Manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Superior organizational skills
  • Thorough knowledge of construction industry best practices and building codes
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite to include Microsoft Project

Nice To Haves

  • Experience using Procore Construction Management Software
  • OSHA 30 Hour Certification and First Aid and CPR Training
