About The Position

Destinationone Consulting is proud to partner with a leading construction firm in the search for an experienced Superintendent to lead field operations on K-12 school construction projects in Las Vegas, Nevada. Our client is seeking a seasoned construction professional with proven experience delivering new school construction, school expansions, and maintenance/upgrade projects within active educational environments. This role requires strong leadership, planning, and coordination skills to ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and with minimal disruption to ongoing school operations.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5+ years of experience as a Superintendent with a Commercial General Contractor
  • Direct experience delivering K-12 school projects, including: New school construction School additions and expansions Renovations, upgrades, and maintenance projects
  • Experience working with school districts or public-sector education clients is strongly preferred
  • Proven ability to manage projects in occupied/active school environments
  • Diverse project experience including education, municipal, and institutional construction
  • Experience with CMAR delivery method preferred
  • Strong background in: Constructability reviews Site logistics planning (especially in constrained/active campuses) Subcontractor coordination Preconstruction scope review
  • Proven ability to build, manage, and update project schedules
  • Experience with Procore, e-Builder, P6, or similar construction management software
  • Knowledge of: Self-perform concrete work MEPF systems and underground utilities Low-voltage systems (telecommunications, security, AV, fire alarm, EMS, etc.)

Responsibilities

  • Manage and direct all job site activities from project start through completion
  • Oversee new school construction, additions, and renovation/maintenance projects
  • Coordinate work in active school environments, ensuring safety and minimal disruption to staff and students
  • Oversee self-perform labor crews and subcontractors to ensure successful project execution
  • Communicate daily with foremen and trades to ensure productivity targets are met
  • Ensure all project goals are achieved in accordance with specifications, timelines, and budgets
  • Lead weekly subcontractor meetings to review schedule performance, safety compliance, and quality control
  • Monitor RFI status, delays, and scope changes
  • Coordinate with subcontractors to ensure timely and accurate drawings and deliverables
  • Collaborate closely with the Project Manager and project team on all issues, risks, and changes
  • Support project closeout processes, including meetings approximately 30 days prior to completion
  • Represent the client professionally in communications with owners, consultants, and healthcare stakeholders
  • Develop and implement strategies to deliver projects on or ahead of schedule and within budget
  • Track and manage productivity of self-performed work
  • Perform other duties as required
