About The Position

RQ Construction, LLC is seeking a skilled Construction Superintendent to join their field Operations team. This role will oversee day-to-day field operations for assigned projects, including managing subcontractors and field personnel, coordinating schedules, and ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and according to contract documents. The superintendent will be responsible for maintaining project quality, controlling costs, and meeting deadlines. This position requires full-time, on-site supervision on an active military installation.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Superintendent overseeing mid-sized construction projects.
  • At least 4 years of practical construction or trade-related experience required.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage scheduling, procurement, field operations, safety compliance, quality assurance, and production throughout all phases of construction.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, and standard computer software.
  • CPR, First Aid, OSHA 30, EM-385, and STS certifications required (training may be provided if necessary).
  • All candidates considered for hire must provide evidence of identity and U.S. work authorization at the time of hire.
  • All candidates must successfully pass a drug screening and commercial criminal background check, including a stricter Department of Defense background check, for access to job site at military base (if applicable for position being hired for).

Nice To Haves

  • College coursework or a degree in construction management, engineering, or a related discipline preferred.
  • Prior experience with government, military, or major commercial construction projects strongly preferred, especially within design-build or large-scale project environments.
  • Knowledge of Primavera P3/P6, Viewpoint, BIM, or Revit preferred.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish abilities are a plus.
  • LEED Green Associate (GA) or Accredited Professional (AP) certification preferred.
